Paul Loyonnet. (1886-1988 )

Pianiste, professeur, écrivain, conférencier, Paul Loyonnet est né à Paris en 1889. Il étudie au conservatoire de Paris. Il fait ses débuts à 17 ans et se produit en récital et en concert avec orchestre dans toute l'Europe surtout après la Première Guerre Mondiale. On évalue à 2 000 le nombre de ses engagements entre 1918 et 1932. En 1932, il prend une retraite volontaire. Il reprend ses activités au moment de la Deuxième Guerre Mondiale. Il s'établit à Montréal en 1954 et devient professeur de piano à l'École Vincent-d'Indy puis à l'Université McGill.
